JOB SUMMARY
This is an opportunity to join the Civil Service as a job share. This position is advertised at 14.8 hours per week.
We are extremely flexible and forward thinking with alternative working patterns. You can work your hours across 2 full days , preferably Wednesday and Thursday, or you can split the hours across more days of the working week.
This job role may be suitable for hybrid working, which is an informal, non-contractual and voluntary arrangement, blending a balance of attendance in the workplace (the permanent duty station is currently Air Command, High Wycombe although alternative locations can be discussed), and working from home as a personal choice. If you are successful, any opportunities for hybrid working will be discussed with you prior to you taking up your post.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Parenting is the name given to the support provided to stations, units, commands and personnel located within the UK . The support can be in the form of practical and material support from another unit. With shrinking budgets and an ever-decreasing RAF footprint, it is more vital than ever to ensure the on going provision of support to these units to allow them to meet their required output. Predominantly, the Parenting team maintain the on-line RAF Parenting Statement document and act as the conduit into Air Command for all support requests. Liaising with all stakeholders (customers and support providers), the team are constantly driving forward smarter ways in the provision of support.
