Description:

The post-holder will be part of the Data, Business Intelligence and Population Health Intelligence team within the Humber and North Yorkshire Integrated Care Board (ICB), which is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive data, business intelligence, population health intelligence and analytical service, supporting the ICB to understand itself, health services delivered within the wider system, and population health needs. The role involves the use of complex information systems and associated datasets, capable of processing large volumes of patient-based and summary health data to improve health, with a focus on supporting population health intelligence, strategic planning and performance improvement for the ICB and key system partners, particularly local authority public health teams. The post holder will undertake a level 7 Health and Care Intelligence Specialist apprenticeship (masters degree level) and 20% of work time is available to complete the apprenticeship. This is being delivered by JGA and you will be part of a national cohort of between 20 and 30 apprentices on this course.
The apprenticeship is designed for junior professionals who study the health of populations, plan, commission, manage, deliver, monitor and evaluate health and social care policies and services. The Apprentice Health and Care Intelligence Specialist will be responsible for delivering insight into services run within the Integrated Care System (ICS), allowing for a greater level of intelligence-led decision-making. The role involves understanding and delivering analysis for relevant subject areas, supporting the Associate Director for Population Health Intelligence and other team members to work with organisations, helping them to understand their data better, collaborating with analytical and operational teams from across the system for the purpose of improving health delivery and outcomes.
