ABOUT OUR TEAM
The JDFPG located in Alice Springs, NT is seeking an energetic, highly organized and task-oriented Human Resource (HR) Corporate Manager to be part of a diverse and collaborative team supporting Government of Australia (GoA) staff who work day and shift work. You will be part of a small multi agency multinational team focusing on support to staff and senior management.
JDFPG is a central element of Australia’s intelligence relationship with the United States of America, and makes a vital contribution to the Defence and national interests of both countries, and to the broader Five-Eyes partnership. The multi-national, multi-agency environment supports high-end intelligence collaboration, innovation and development of advanced capabilities to address emerging global security threats.
Responsibilities:
THE ROLE
The JDFPG is seeking an energetic, highly organized and task-oriented Human Resource (HR) Corporate Manager to be part of a diverse and collaborative team supporting the evolution of the organization and delivery of new outcomes, while ensuring business-as-usual activities are also maintained.
The HR Corporate Manager position includes, but is not limited to, the delivery of recruitment, support relocation of staff, ability to work with key stakeholders to identify workforce strategic requirements, performance management, provide trusted professional and technical advice, review and provide strategic advice on a range of polices as well as provide people advice and support to staff and engage in a range of activities to support various visits to the Facility.
This vacant term transfer position is located at the Joint Defence Facility Pine Gap (JDFPG) in Alice Springs, NT for a minimum two year posting (with possible extension offers at delegate discretion) to then return to an ASD at level position (based at an interstate ASD office) at the end of term transfer.
Note: this is a Monday to Friday day position (not shift work).
The role will require excellent interpersonal communication skills to rapidly build and maintain productive working relationships with our multi-national workforce as well as engage closely with internal and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate for this position will have:
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (written and verbal)
- Strong stakeholder engagement skills and a demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with a range of people, including at an internal and external senior executive level
- The proven ability to exercise sound judgement, discretion, and integrity including the ability to maintain confidentiality and privacy
- Demonstrate attention to detail, with the ability to take responsibility for own actions and accurate completion of work
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment, manage competing priorities and triage effectively while still ensuring key targets are met
- Experience implementing strategic HR initiatives, and experience leading and managing a team to be high performing and collaborativ
