Description:
JOB SUMMARY:
As an Assembler Trainer, you will play a critical role in shaping the skills and expertise of our assembly team. Your primary responsibility will be to train and guide employees in all aspects of assembly, from understanding technical prints to operating tools and equipment with precision. Youll be instrumental in fostering a culture of excellence, quality, and continuous improvement within our workforce.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience: Proven experience in mechanical assembly, with a strong understanding of assembly processes, tools, and equipment. Previous experience in a training or mentoring role is highly desirable.
- Skills: Proficient in interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and assembly instructions. Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent. Technical certification or degree in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical engineering, industrial technology) is a plus.
- Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Ability to effectively train and motivate employees of varying skill levels.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with assembly tools and equipment, including power tools, hand tools, and material handling equipment. Knowledge of electrical, electronics, and hydraulics.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to perform medium work, including lifting up to 50 lbs, climbing, balancing, and working in varied environmental conditions.
Responsibilities:
- Training & Development: Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for new and existing employees in the assembly department and other relevant departments. Ensure trainees are proficient in assembly techniques, equipment operation, and safety protocols.
- Skill Assessment: Evaluate the skills and performance of assembly staff. Identify areas for improvement and provide targeted coaching and support to enhance their technical and practical abilities.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with team leads and supervisors to identify opportunities for process improvements. Implement best practices and innovative solutions to streamline assembly operations and increase efficiency.
- Documentation: Develop and maintain training materials. Ensure that all training resources are up-to-date and reflect the latest industry standards and company practices.
- Safety & Compliance: Promote a culture of safety by ensuring all assembly procedures adhere to company safety standards and regulatory requirements.
- Technical Expertise: Serve as a technical expert on assembly processes. Provide guidance on troubleshooting, quality control, and the use of specialized tools and equipment.
- Communication: Foster a positive learning environment by maintaining clear and open communication with trainees, team members, and management. Address any concerns or issues promptly and professionally.
