The Opportunity

Due to retirement, we have the rare opportunity for the right person to join Fulton Hogan as part of our dynamic NOC JV team in Marlborough. We are looking for an Asset Engineer to join our team who oversee the road maintenance of the state highway network in the Marlborough region. In this role you will be contributing to the provision of effective support to the contract team using various management/design programs for road maintenance contracts (RAMM, Juno Viewer, Argonaut etc.), You will also be contributing to the success of the contract by assisting with:

  • Inspections and network drive overs, data collection and analysis - in other words, getting out on the network for a drive and looking at things.
  • Input to pavement and surfacing treatment designs
  • Prepare asset management reports
  • Assist in forward work planning and justifications
  • Undertake technical “hands-on” activities as required
  • Field testing and managing results including QA documentation
  • Emergency Response Incident Event Management – helping out the team when unplanned events strike.

What you’ll bring to the table

  • A Civil Engineering Diploma or equivalent is advantages, however if you have roading or construction industry experience and want a chance to jump off the ‘tools’ please apply.
  • Practical experience within a road maintenance environment is an advantage
  • A full clean class 1 driver’s license
  • Willingness to learn and understand contract specifications.
  • Be passionate about delivering outstanding road maintenance outcomes with a desire to learn
  • Results driven with ability to meet deadlines
  • An enthusiastic team player with good communication skills
