The Opportunity
Reporting to the Senior Financial Accountant, the focus of the role is to assist in maintaining the integrity of the Financial Accounting activity of the business. This role provides predominantly provides exposure to the accounts payable, accounts receivable & capital expenditure. This role will also include business partnering with other departments such a local supply chain & marketing teams and our Global Business services.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Tertiary qualification in Accounting
Past experience in bookkeeping or accounting experience in a small/medium sized organization
Proficient in using accounting software and Microsoft Office suite (particularly Excel)
Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment

Responsibilities:

Full ownership of the Accounts Payable function, working with the Global Business Services team to maintain vendor payment schedules, ensuring all overheads are recorded appropriately and accurately.
Providing the point of contact for all new and existing Vendors.
Assisting with month end processes and reporting including the accruals process and preparation of balance sheet reconciliations
Assist with control related activities according to legal, company accounting and financial guidelines.
Assist with the management of all capital expenditure requests from the local business unit.
Assist with ensuring adherence of generally accepted accounting principles and compliance with group accounting policies.
Assist with calculations and input for BAS filing.
Contributing to ongoing projects and process improvement initiatives as well as other ad hoc duties to support the wider team.
Work closely with the marketing team to support the Finance Analyst with spend management and the budget and forecast process
Assist Finance analyst with price management and adhoc projects.
