About Hilton Head Hospital
Hilton Head Hospital Hilton Head Hospital (HHH) is a 93-bed acute care hospital located at 25 Hospital Center Boulevard in Hilton Head Island, SC. HHH serves Hilton Head Island, Bluffton, Okatie and surrounding counties through its care team of over 600 colleagues and over 100 physicians. The hospital provides a continuum of services through its centers and programs, including a 24-hour emergency department, critical care, cardiac care ranging from minimally invasive to open heart surgery, obstetrics/ gynecology, urology, a nationally accredited breast health center, spine care, gastroenterology, surgical services, cardiac and physical rehabilitation
POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing, or Associate’s Degree in Nursing plus a
Bachelor’s Degree in a related field required. Master’s degree preferred. - Five or more years of progressively responsible experience in management.
- Current South Carolina Registered Nurse license.
Responsibilities:
- Assists CNO with directing nursing services in all areas/departments where
nursing care is provided, across the health system. - Assists CNO with the development and implementation of plans, policies and
objectives for nursing departments, across the health system. - Assists CNO in leading Quality and Patient Experience initiatives across the
health system. - Participates in assuming nursing administrative responsibilities in the
absence of the CNO, across the health system. - Keeps abreast of relevant issues which impact patient care and communicates
them to the CNO. - Participates in community-based groups and/or activities in conjunction with
and/or in the absence of the CNO. - Assists the CNO in assuring collaboration and good communication between
clinical and support departments to meet patient care needs, across the health
system. - Assists department directors with the development and implementation of
departmental budgets, across the health system. - Supports innovation in nursing practice both from clinical and managerial
perspectives. - Fills in as House Supervisor (day or night) as needed.
- Participates in developing, implementing and evaluating programs to
promote the recruitment, retention, development and continuing education of
nursing staff members and other disciplines that impact patient care. - Assists in formulating short- and long-term plans for new or expanded
nursing services. - Assists the Human Resources Department with the planning and
implementation of recruitment and retention processes and initiatives
impacting nursing departments. - Assists the CNO with initiatives to increase nurse retention, satisfaction, and
engagement. - Other duties as needed or assigned.
