The purpose of the post is to contribute to the academic and educational missions of the Discipline of Clinical Microbiology, School of Medicine, TCD. The appointee will coordinate module 1 ‘Basic and Molecular Microbiology’ of the MSc in Healthcare Infection and co-coordinate teaching to the year 2 medical students in the ‘Infection and Immunology’ module. The appointee will also contribute to other teaching in the discipline.

  • Shortlisted applicants will be asked to present their 3-year research plan.

Applicants should clearly address the way in which their experience to date is relevant to the role being offered e.g. coordination, administration, teaching.
Illustrate, through past example, their potential for leading a research group.

Responsibilities:

This appointment will be made on the Assistant Professor Merged salary scale (€41,000 - €98,564 per annum) point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales. (tcd.ie)
