Qualified applicants must have earned an MBA or a Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Statistics, Industrial Engineering, Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Marketing or other related fields. Preference will be given to applicants with a PhD in any of these fields by the date of appointment or shortly thereafter. A demonstrated record of excellence in teaching and a strong record of pedagogical inquiry is recommended. Research interests in management education will be considered an asset. We seek candidates whose teaching and scholarly interests complement and enhance our existing departmental strengths.
Evidence of excellence in teaching and pedagogical practices can be presented through teaching accomplishments (e.g. awards, recognition, new course and curriculum development), a coherent statement of teaching philosophy that is linked to evidence of excellent pedagogical practices, strong letters of reference reflecting on both excellent teaching and evidence of commitment to pedagogical enquiry, and the teaching dossier submitted as part of the application. Other teaching-related activities can include performance as a teaching assistant or course instructor, experience leading successful workshops or seminars, student mentorship, or excellent conference presentations or posters. Select applicants will be invited for a campus visit to the University of Toronto Mississauga to present a lecture as part of the interview process.
The successful candidate will be appointed as a faculty member at the University of Toronto Mississauga, and will be part of a strong culture of undergraduate management education. Our undergraduate programs include a B.Com with specialization in Accounting, Finance, or Marketing, and BBA and HBA programs with specialization in Management, or Human Resource Management. Candidates must demonstrate, in their application materials, an ability to foster diversity on campus and within the curriculum or discipline, and must show evidence of a commitment to equity, diversity, inclusion, and the promotion of a respectful and collegial environment. Candidates must submit a statement describing their contributions to equity, diversity, and inclusion, which might cover topics such as (but not limited to): teaching that incorporates a focus on underrepresented communities; efforts undertaken to develop inclusive pedagogies, collaboration, and engagement with underrepresented communities; and mentoring of students from underrepresented groups. If you have questions about this statement, please contact the Chair of the Department of Management at chair.utmm@utoronto.ca.

Applicants remain responsible for ensuring that references submit letters (on letterhead, dated and signed) by the closing date. More details on the automatic reference letter collection, including timelines, are available in the candidate FAQ.
Submission guidelines can be found at http://uoft.me/how-to-apply. Your CV and cover letter should be uploaded into the dedicated fields.
