Ahoy, Matey! We’ve got an exciting opportunity on the horizon! We’re looking for an Assistant Project Manager to help steer one of our projects in our Mount Pearl, NL office. WHAT YOU BRING
We are seeking a candidate who possesses the following technical qualities and qualifications:
- Has 10+ years of Project Management experience, within a variety of different project types and sizes.
- Formal Project Management training - PMP or PgMP is considered an asset.
- Experience in technical specifications for shipbuilding or a related field, as well as contract management or administration, is highly valued.
- Proficiency in Project Management software, including Excel and MS Project, is required.
- Familiarity with shipyard operations and/or production environments would be advantageous.

- Excellent customer service and ensure stakeholder satisfaction.
- The ability to influence and lead others in achieving shared goals, while staying motivated and demonstrating an eager-to-learn attitude.
- Excellent communication (verbal or written) with diverse groups, efficient organizational skills, and the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Managing multiple priorities with independence and good judgement while applying critical thinking skills.
- The desire to see projects through to completion.

Responsibilities:
As an Assistant Project Manager, your role is pivotal in ensuring the successful delivery of projects. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Collaboration with Project Manager: Work closely with the Project Manager to understand project goals and take on tasks as delegated to support successful project outcomes.
- Progress Monitoring: Track and manage the project’s progress against established parameters, including cost, time, scope, and quality, ensuring alignment with project objectives.
- Task Assignment: Allocate tasks and resources among team members, optimizing workload distribution to enhance productivity and efficiency.
- Client Liaison: Serve as a primary contact between the client and the project team, ensuring clear communication and addressing any client concerns promptly.
- Coordination and Communication: Facilitate communication among team members, stakeholders, and contractors to ensure everyone is informed and aligned with project timelines and goals.
- Quality Oversight: Assist in supervising the project team’s work to ensure the delivery of high-quality production drawings and 3D models as outlined in the project contract.
- Relationship Building: Foster strong relationships within the team and with stakeholders to create a collaborative and positive working environment.
- Risk Assessment and Resolution: Identify, assess, and address high-priority project risks as they arise, implementing strategies to mitigate potential impacts on the project.
- Additional Duties: Be prepared to perform other related duties as required to support the project’s success.
