Description:
We are looking for an Associate Analyst, who takes part in credit rating committees for the monitoring and, occasionally, new assignments of structured finance ratings. In this context, the jobholder supports the analysis of complex structured finance instruments and leads the analyses of simple/standard structured finance transactions with complete or partial autonomy. Moreover, the jobholder contributes to the development and maintenance of analytical tools and occasionally to credit rating methodologies, supports the production of insightful credit research related to the structured finance sector, and takes part in operational review visits. This position offers a long-term career path for high-performing analysts with opportunities to enhance analytical skills.
Your tasks & responsibilities
- Support the analysis of complex structured finance instruments
- Lead the analysis of simple/standard structured finance transactions
- Understand and contribute to the development of Scope’s rating methodologies
- Support the development of existing and new analytical tools
- Communicate and occasionally collaborate with various internal and external parties in the context of rating analyses
- Support the production of credit research and analytical comments on a timely basis
Your professional and personal profile
- Independent thinker with strong problem-solving, written, and oral communication skills
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree
- Good quantitative skills: proficiency in the use of quantitative tools such as cash flow modeling tools, statistical databases, data visualization tools, etc.
- Strong analytical thinking: ability to identify credit risks and key rating factors, interpret relevant macroeconomic data, ability to review complex transaction documents, etc.
- Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) computer skills; knowledge of one or more programming languages would be a plus.
- Multi-cultural, collaborative, self-starter, versatile, inquisitive and detail-oriented personality
- Accountable and dynamic with the ability to work in full autonomy and multi-task
- Fluency in at least a major language in addition to English would be a plus
