THE OPPORTUNITY

Our European Valuation & Modelling Services business is dynamic and is expanding rapidly. Over the last 9 years we have established and built teams in London, Frankfurt, Amsterdam, Munich, Madrid and Paris. Our European team works as one joint team, with continuous peer interaction between offices, weekly European-wide update calls and regular social events and seamless cross-border staffing on international projects.
Our Valuations practice has attracted top performers at every experienced level from our competitors across Europe. We provide a full suite of valuation and modelling services for Mergers & Acquisitions, Financial Restructuring, Contentious Valuations, Illiquid Securities, Private Equity portfolios, Complex Financial Instruments and Financial and Tax reporting.
Due to our freedom from audit restrictions, high-quality work and ability to respond quickly to client requirements, we are expanding rapidly. A senior opportunity exists in our German offices in Frankfurt and Munich and we are looking for a highly regarded & experienced real estate valuation professional to join us as Director or Senior Director. The successful appointee will play a key part in client project delivery, business & client development and team building.

Responsibilities:

  • Establish and expand the real estate valuation practice within A&M Valuation Services
  • Engage in day-to-day client and project management on a high-quality level
  • Contribute to winning new engagements and to building/maintaining client relationships
  • Contribute to the development of the wider team through the provision of formal and informal training
  • Execute parts of the report writing and analyses for the most complex engagements
  • Participate in thought leadership and the (continuously) further refinement our valuation approaches

We have a very strong track record of mentoring and developing our Directors to Senior Director and Managing Director level positions and successful candidates will benefit from both formal and informal learning & development. Typical projects will include:

  • Real estate valuations for financial reporting purposes (e.g. real estate valuations in connection with purchase price allocations)
  • Real estate valuations for tax purposes (e.g. valuations for real estate transfer tax purposes)
  • Various valuation work for real estate clients (e.g. valuation work in connection with transactions or other engagements, such as structural measures)

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Extensive experience in real estate valuation gained at a Big 4 accounting firm or an independent real estate advisory firm
  • Relevant real estate certificates and professional qualifications, such as MRICS
  • Well-developed stakeholder management skills including managing key client relationships and expectations
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Fluent business level German and English is essential. Additional language skills are advantageous
  • Ambitious, with a desire to succeed in an entrepreneurial culture
