JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Associate Director of Visual Analytics plays a crucial role overseeing a team responsible for managing the prioritization, development, maintenance, and QA efforts surrounding internal and client-facing reporting environments (largely PowerBI) for IQVIA’s Patient Support Solutions organization. This leader will oversee the requirements collection, scoping, and interpretation of data to provide actionable insights for business decision-making for our clients’ patient services programs. The primary responsibility of the Associate Director is to drive the organization’s data-driven strategy by creating, maintaining, and optimizing BI solutions, dashboards, and reports. This role is instrumental in helping businesses make informed decisions, improve operational efficiency, and identify growth opportunities.
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS:
- Power BI (required), Tableau , MicroStrategy, SQL, MSBI, ETL (Extract, Transform , Load) , Excel.
- Bachelor’s Degree Requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience Req Or
- Master’s Degree 6 years’ experience Req Or
- Ph.D. 3 years’ experience Req
- Equivalent experience may substitute for degree Req

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $94,200.00 - $175,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits
Responsibilities:
- Data Analysis: Gather, clean, and validate data from various sources, ensuring accuracy and consistency. Perform in-depth data analysis to identify patterns, trends, and correlations that drive business insights.
- BI Solution Development: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and develop BI solutions and reporting tools. Utilize BI tools (such as Power BI, Tableau, MicroStrategy) to create visualizations, reports, and dashboards that effectively present complex data in a user-friendly manner.
- Report Generation: Develop and maintain standardized and ad-hoc reports for key stakeholders and business units. Ensure timely delivery of reports and proactively identify opportunities for report optimization.
- Data Modeling: Design and implement data models and data warehouses to support BI initiatives. Optimize data structures for efficient querying and reporting.
- Business Requirement Gathering: Work closely with business stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate them into functional requirements for BI solutions.
- Performance Monitoring: Monitor the performance of BI solutions and dashboards, ensuring they meet the organization’s requirements and are updated in real-time.
- Data Visualization: Create compelling visualizations and interactive dashboards that communicate insights effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Data Quality and Governance: Implement data quality checks and ensure adherence to data governance and security standards to maintain data integrity.
- Trend Analysis: Conduct ongoing trend analysis and forecasting to support strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- BI Tool Evaluation: Stay abreast of emerging BI technologies and tools, assess their suitability for the organization, and recommend improvements to existing BI infrastructure.
