Grade/Salary: Grade E, pro rata £21,568 to £23,873 (pay award pending)
Contract Type: Fixed Term
Contract Terms: 37 Hours per week.
Term time, (38 weeks pupils are in school plus 1 inset week)

The governors have created a new role in school which is initially being offered on a fixed term basis with the intention of it becoming a permanent role.
We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, driven and motivated person who at all times acts in a highly professional manner, and is able to maintain confidentiality. The key objective for this role is to work with families and young people to improve attendance and help raise achievement.
You must be able to analyse attendance data and create targeted plans with the aim of encouraging improvements in attendance. This will involve high levels of communication with families, in addition to one to one working with pupils, to help overcome any barriers they have stopping them attending school.
A large part of your role will involve home visits and therefore you must hold a full driving licence and have access to your own vehicle on each working day. Business miles will be paid at the rate of 45p to 52.2p per mile. Your vehicle must have a valid MOT and be insured for business use.
It is essential that you have excellent administration skills to enable you to keep accurate records. Working knowledge of school-based systems SIMs and CPOMs would be desirable. In addition to working closely with the Year teams in school and the Safeguarding and the Leadership Team, you will also work with external agencies and participate or lead in early intervention meetings, CAFs.
The ideal candidate must have high levels of attention to detail with the ability to meet deadlines and be able to prioritise tasks. Good communication skills are essential along being approachable and empathetic. Creative thinking, problem solving and tenacity are the key to success in this role.
