Description:
We are offering a contract to permanent employment opportunity for a Bookkeeper in Knoxville, Tennessee. As a Bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role for our client; a CPA firm, managing financial records.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process customer credit applications in a timely manner • Maintain precise records of accounts payable and receivable, including invoicing • Conduct regular reconciliation of various financial transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance • Perform regular data entry tasks related to bookkeeping, including updating financial spreadsheets • Use accounting software programs, such as QuickBooks and Sage 50, to process business transactions, like accounts payable and receivable, disbursements, expense vouchers, and receipts • Implement efficient bank reconciliation processes to ensure all financial transactions are accounted for • Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action based on account activity • Provide payroll services, ensuring all financial records are up-to-date and compliant • Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reports and statements • Respond effectively to all customer inquiries related to their accounts and financial transactions. - Minimum of 2 years of experience in a bookkeeping role
- Proficiency in Account Reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR)
- Experience with Bank Reconciliations
- Strong bookkeeping skills
- Comfortable with Data Entry tasks
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
- Experience in managing Payroll
- Familiarity with QuickBooks and Sage 50 software
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in work
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field is preferred.
