The role of Business Systems Engineer within the IT Team in ACG is one that will provide support, advice, and guidance to the business in the maintenance, support and continued development of IT applications and systems within the company.
Working within the IT Team, and reporting into the Business Systems Manager, the role of Business Systems Engineer is an important one, providing technical support and advice on the various applications used within the business while also supporting the IT team in future implementations of new applications, and continuing development and enhancement of existing systems.
This position is full time, remotely working with occasional UK travel to sites and offices.

Responsibilities:

  • To configure & install new software to meet business needs and requirements.
  • Responsibility for the assessment, development, testing and implementation of new systems, & improvements to existing systems.
  • Liaise with all parts of the business to gather requirements and design solutions with stakeholders and end users.
  • Liaise with 3rd party providers to create proposals for enhancements and change requests.
  • Engage with the development, delivery and integration activities with service providers and 3rd parties with strong customer focus and drive to resolve issues within agreed SLAs
  • Work alongside team members in a hands-on’ fashion in order to ensure business success which may include tasks like troubleshooting, analysing requirements, designing and developing solutions, project documentation and presentations.
  • Ensure that all system improvements meet business requirements and conform to ACG strategies and change control processes.
  • Ensure the business applications meet defined Business Continuity requirements.
  • Ensure adherence to policies and quality assurance standards for application deployment, customisation, governance and support.
  • Identify areas for improvement, communicate to senior management & follow through to ensure continual improvement of supported systems.
  • Ensure procedures are documented for applications and reflect current legislative requirements where necessary.
  • Escalating application issues internally as appropriate.
  • Recommend operating technology and tooling that drives the best User Experience.
