Cardiology Technician

OVERVIEW

Technician performs Electrocardiograms, Holter Monitor Placement/Scanning and Stress Test Assist. Collects, reviews and evaluates clinical data and communicates the information to the physicians, nurses and supervisor. Technician is also responsible for monitoring patients’ heart rate and blood pressure and ensuring their comfort and safety.

QUALIFICATIONS

High School diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree preferred. BCLS certification required. Holter Monitor Scanning and Stress Test training and experience is beneficial.
Must be able to work independently or as part of a team and need to be able to function well in emergency situations. Must have good communication and interpersonal skills, are detail-oriented, and have excellent hand-eye coordination. Must be physically fit enough to work on their feet for long periods of time and to lift or position patients. Must be able to respond to code calls and stat calls in a timely manner
