As a Casualty Underwriter in Finland, you will have a unique opportunity to work with a team of dedicated colleagues, driving high-quality underwriting and contributing to the profitable growth of our Nordic business. You will work closely with our Commercial Lines Manager Finland, Casualty Line Manager Nordics and other Casualty Underwriters in the Nordics, to maintain and grow our Casualty business in Finland and in the Nordics.

You will play a pivotal role in setting and achieving underwriting profit goals, working across various market segments. Your ability to deploy underwriting guidelines, implement controls, and make strategic pricing decisions will be critical to our success in the Nordic market.
As a Casualty Underwriter, you will be responsible for :
- Contribute to a profitable growth of the Casualty portfolio
- Assess and underwrite Finnish and Nordic risks and provide clients with insurance solutions
- Process renewals
- Pursue new business opportunities
- Develop market relationships with brokers and clients, existing as well as new ones
- Market our range of products in Finland, but in close cooperation with colleagues in other Nordic countries
- Keep customer files updated and in good order and perform peer reviews
- Handle administrative service and assistance to broker or clients
- Ensure bookings are registered within the required timeframes
- Create good working relationships with the local Casualty underwriting teams in Stockholm, Gothenburg and in Copenhagen
- You will collaborate closely with colleagues in other business lines, including Claims, Operations, and Finance. By representing and promoting Chubb to brokers, you will increase our market visibility and strengthen relationships
PROFILE REQUIREMENTS :
- Bachelor Degree in Law, Business Administration, Economist or similar would be a plus.
- Preferably you have previous experience from the insurance market with at least 2-3 years alternatively possesses high future potential
- Experience from working in a multinational environment would be preferable
- Knowledge of Finnish and preferably also Nordic insurance market.
- Excellent communication and commercial skills.
- Can-Do attitude and a winning mentality
- Team worker
- Client orientated and business focused.
- Serviceminded team player and open to sometimes work outside of regular business hours
- Ability to negotiate and get profitable business in accordance with company UW guidelines.
- Understanding how individual underwriting decisions impact on business results
- Advance user of Microsoft office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Finnish and English high level – both written and spoken, Swedish is a plus.
