Responsibilities:
ROLE SUMMARY:
ACG Remuera is a modern, spacious early childhood centre, within easy access of State Highway 1 with good parking, catering to up to 145 children. The centre has been specifically designed for children to investigate and explore. Additionally, we provide an inquiry and play-based learning environment, carefully constructed to achieve the best learning outcomes for every child. This role leads our team of highly qualified early childhood educators, working in a balanced approach, centred around developing happy, confident young learners as we prepare them for their transition to primary school. We are seeking a capable leader to foster the culture and continue to progress the excellent practices and educational outcomes for the children in this established centre.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Ensure the efficient running of the Centre, implementing management policies and ensure that all statutory requirements are met
- Promote the philosophy and educational aims of the Centre to staff and parents
- Co-ordinate long term and daily programes for the Centre, and monitor progress
- Set the tone for the culture, role modelling good practices and behaviours
- Develop strong professional relationships with staff and parents.
- Exercise responsible judgement involving decisions related to children
- Inspire, lead, organise and oversee professional development of the team
