Description:

Absolute Software is looking for a cloud focused Devops Engineer to join our Cloud Operations team. This team member will participate in designing, managing, and supporting Absolute’s Secure Access Cloud Solution.

YOUR SKILLS:

  • Microsoft Azure cloud management
  • Familiarity or experience with cloud networking and VPN routing
  • Experience and knowledge in Microsoft Windows server administration
  • Experience with Managed Kubernetes services in the cloud
  • Experience with Python
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines
  • Familiarity with protocol level proxy behavior
  • 5+ years of documented related industry experience

Additional considerations given to candidates with one or more of the following:

  • Cloud network engineering and related experience
  • Gitlab, Jenkins Server, or other CI/CD pipelining tool
  • Experience with Ansible
  • GIT experience
  • BA in Computer Science, Computer Network Management, or related field
  • Comfortable working in both Linux and Windows environments
  • Familiarity with the TCP/UDP suite and protocol level behavior

The Canada base pay range for this position is from CAD $120,000 - $127,000 annually; the base pay offered is determined by the market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our annual bonus program.

Responsibilities:

  • Design, implement, manage scalable and resilient cloud infrastructure
  • Design, implement, manage automation tooling for routine operation tasks
  • Work with engineering and facilitate the integration of new features and products
  • Attend to day to day trouble tickets as well as project workloads
  • Participate in the team’s rotating on-call
  • Participate in team activities such as peer code reviews and design collaboration efforts
