What is the job like, really?

The core focus of this role is to manage our cloud-based IT infrastructure, ensuring our systems operate both efficiently and securely. You get to work closely with an awesome Platform Engineering team of 15 professionals, as well as cross-functional teams, to ensure the seamless integration and effectiveness of our cloud solutions. Here’s a more detailed snapshot of your key responsibilities:

• ️ Platform Management: Take ownership of our public cloud infrastructure, ensuring it runs smoothly and efficiently.
• ️ System Maintenance: Handle tasks such as configuration, monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting to keep our cloud platforms operating at peak efficiency.
• ️ Upgrades and Migrations: Lead the planning and execution of system upgrades, patches, and migrations to keep our platforms up-to-date and compliant with industry standards.
• ️ Security Measures: Implement security measures and access controls to protect our systems from threats.
• ️ Performance Optimization: Proactively identify and address performance bottlenecks to provide users with a seamless experience.
• ️ Disaster Recovery: Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans to minimize business impact in case of system failures.
• ️ Participation in On-Call Rotation: Be a part of a 24/7/365 on-call rotation, providing coverage for our platform services.
