REQUIRED SKILLS

• Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in quantitative field – preferably Computer Science or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Extensive, practical knowledge of the Java programming language with Spring framework and how Java applications are built (knowledge of JVM optimization, tuning, debugging, etc.).
• Proven practical knowledge of the GO language would be beneficial.
• Experience in working with a cloud provider such as Microsoft Azure, and knowing how to leverage its capabilities.
• Practical knowledge of Docker and Kubernetes and/or Docker technology.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English.
• Experience with continuous integration and delivery.
• Ability to quickly adapt to changing technologies, frameworks, etc.
• Expertise to explain technical problems and understand business requirements.
• Capability and willingness to work as a part of a self-organizing team.
• Proven experience in working as a part of distributed teams.

NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS

• Knowledge of an enterprise e-commerce solution.

WORK EXPERIENCE:

• 5+ years of relevant work experience.

PURPOSE AND OBJECTIVES

EXPECTATIONS AND TASKS

• Develop applications using mainly Java/Go, Spring framework, Git and Maven.
• Work as a part of a cross-functional, Agile development team, embracing the Scrum approach.
• Contribute to providing a high-quality code by following the best practices and design patterns.
• Design and write automated unit, integration and acceptance tests.
• Actively drive non-functional requirements such as performance, security, continuous integration, migration and compatibility.
• You love to design, build and operate highly scalable cloud solutions.
• Collaborate with members of the wider product development team across multiple international locations.
• You’re not afraid to present your own ideas to your team and management.
