Collections Specialist

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist in the Wholesale Distribution industry, located in LEXINGTON-FAYETTE, Kentucky, 40505-3114, United States. This role is primarily focused on managing customer accounts and ensuring appropriate action is taken when necessary. The successful candidate will have experience with collection processes and will be comfortable working with both commercial and consumer collections.

• Manage and oversee customer accounts
• Process customer credit applications with accuracy and efficiency
• Maintain and update customer credit records on a regular basis
• Take necessary action on customer accounts when required
• Resolve customer inquiries in a timely and professional manner
• Utilize Collection Processes, Collections - Consumer, Collections - Commercial, and Commercial Collections skills effectively
• Work closely with other team members to ensure smooth operations
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in collections
• Maintain a customer-focused approach, balancing customer service with effective collections
• Ensure all activities comply with legal regulations and ethical standards.
• Must have a thorough understanding of Collection Processes
• Proven experience in Collections - Consumer and Collections - Commercial
• Demonstrated ability in Commercial Collections
• Proficient in using industry-related software and tools
• Excellent negotiation and decision-making skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as a part of a team
• Experience in the Wholesale Distribution industry is a plus
• Should have a professional attitude and appearance
• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.
