ABOUT YOU…

  • Ideally, we would be looking for someone who has 5+ years’ experience in the communications and engagement space
  • Tertiary qualification - BA/Communications/Journalism/Politics
  • Excellent written and presentation skills.
  • Media relations including knowledge of NZ media and political landscapes.
  • Crisis and issues management.

Responsibilities:

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Maintaining internal communications strategy to enhance employee understanding of business news, objectives and strategy, key projects, and business change.
  • Ensure internal communications align with external messaging and we take a transparent, people-first approach.
  • Develop town hall and conference decks and content, as well as other internal presentations for Management Team
  • Grow, maintain, and protect DB’s profile and reputation with stakeholders through targeted and proactive communications.
  • Develop and maintain media relationships, including being the media contact for DB, developing responses and key messages.
  • Position DB as a market leader in sustainability and EVP through regular media releases and activity on earned and owned channels.
  • Help Develop and deliver executive engagement plan with key stakeholders and media opportunities.
  • Assist delivery of DB’s crisis preparedness plan
  • Manage communications responses in the event of a crisis.
  • Maintain and develop position statements on issues concerning the industry.
  • Work with customer service team to develop appropriate FAQs and responses to consumer enquiries.
  • Provide communications advice and support to the management team
  • Keep Management Team and key managers and functions up to date with current media material, both local and international, ensuring DB is on top of current issues and takes advantages of opportunities.
  • Support the sales and logistics teams with external communications including price increases and delivery time changes.
  • Support RFP process to win new accounts, collating information, copywriting and editing documents.
  • Assist marketing team (as required) to support brand and category PR campaigns
