Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) currently has an exciting opportunity for a passionate individual to support our Connected Technologies (CT) department. This is a permanent, full-time position, reporting to the Manager, Connected Technologies. The selected candidate will be the Connected Technologies ambassador, advocating to build awareness through the planning and developing of education & training materials, knowledge resources, and communications, resulting in customer satisfaction and engagement. Ultimately, this individual will ensure organizational readiness & sustainment for internal stakeholders, Zones/Field Staff, and Toyota & Lexus Dealers about Connected Technologies products & services. Direct contribution to Sales and After-sales business growth by providing Guests/Customers and Dealers with positive Connected Services experiences and thus additional value.

What You’ll be Doing:
Connected Technologies Ambassador
- Drive change, motivate and ensure organizational readiness and sustainment for all CT product launches
- Be a subject matter expert to internal and external stakeholders and customers (TCI departments, Zones/Field Staff, Dealers, Guests/Customers)
- Act as CT ambassador with Toyota/Lexus Sales Divisions & Dealers to communicate, educate, advocate and drive engagement through enrolment
- Partner with Toyota University, Lexus Academy and Regional Training Managers (RTM) as CT champion
- Collaborate and align with Toyota Motor North America (TMNA) and liaison with vendors for CT training and education programs
Knowledge Resources & Training Programs
- Plan, develop, implement, and maintain education programs, resource materials, and communications
- Collaborate with Toyota University, and Lexus Academy to integrate CT knowledge (Train-the-Trainer)
- Influence and motivate Dealers through communications and knowledge resources to be Connected Technologies ambassadors
Field Staff & Dealer Support
- Communicate the latest developments and plans of Connected Technologies strategies with Dealers
- Act as a point of escalation for Dealer concerns/issues to appropriate parties for resolution
- Collaborate with the Customer Relations group to address Dealer issues relating to CT
- Provide CT subject matter expertise to Zones and Field Staff associates to facilitate Dealer support
- Support Dealers with training & educational needs
- Support Field and/or Dealer conferences and meetings with CT advocacy content to grow awareness
Guest/Customer Support
- Create Customer/Guest facing CT resource materials, including in-vehicle, smartphone app, marketing, how-to guides, and more, to provide exceptional CT customer experience and satisfaction
- Develop plans and strategies with Zones/Dealers to elevate enrolment rates
General Work Approach
- Initiates continuous improvement (‘Kaizen’) efforts to improve time and process efficiencies
- Create and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- Standardizes and shares best practices across the team and organization
What You’ll Bring:
- University degree or equivalent (preferably in business, automotive studies or related discipline)
- 5+ years of automotive experience (preferably with a combination of sales, planning, after-sales, cross-functional, cross-affiliate or field experience)
- Ability to understand & communicate technical parts of Connected Technologies products and services
- Proven ability to partner with business stakeholders (internal & external)
- Excellent communication and presentation skills
- Proven ability to be accountable for a program’s success and act as that program’s ambassador
- Self-starter with excellent organizational and time management skills
- Strong leadership, relationship-building, and influencing abilities
- Ability to handle opposition professionally while still maintaining productive relationships
- Proven ability to initiate & improve work processes to increase efficiencies
- Demonstrated understanding of Plan, Do, Check, Act (PDCA) principles
- Flexibility in work schedule and ability to travel
- Bilingualism (French/English) is an asset
