Description:
We are seeking a Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist
This is an exciting new post, which will involve providing Forensic Mental Health care to community forensic patients as part of the Forensic Intensive Recovery Support Team (FIRST) and offenders within HMP Dovegate has been co-created using monies allocated by a new Business Case within the FIRST team and prison contracts awarded to Inclusion
You will be part of a comprehensive multi-disciplinary team addressing individual needs through tailored packages of care. You will work in an integrated way with providers, service users and carers.
You must be willing to undertake prison and counter terrorism clearance. You should also have section 12(2) approval.
You will clinically lead the FIRST team in delivering mental health services to high risk service users in the community via the Inclusion multidisciplinary team to provide inreach service to the prison population at HMP Dovegate
FIRST team currently has a caseload of up to 65 patients and receives up to 20 new referrals every year on average. It works closely with a range of stakeholders including secure and non-secure care commissioners including Complex Care Teams across Staffordshire, Shropshire and Wolverhampton, inpatient providers across REACH OUT Provider Collaborative and Out of Area providers, secondary mental health services, local authorities and range of step down accommodation providers and criminal justice agencies.
