Description:
Responsible for the review and negotiation of contracts to achieve business objectives while mitigating risks to the company.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer service skills and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as contracts and financial reports. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence and fill out all paperwork associated with the job.
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills; using logic and reasoning to identify alternative solutions or approaches to problems and demonstrates the ability to implement them.
- Ability to apply general rules to specific problems to produce answers that make sense.
- Must be personable, highly organized and capable of effective, efficient multi-tasking.
- Strong work ethic and emphasis on attention to detail.
- Computer skills and ability to use company’s software systems.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
- One to two (1-2) years related work experience.
- Experience with Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities:
- Reviews and provides risk management consultation on all contracts submitted, including customer, vendor, subcontractors, etc.
- Serves as the point of contact for internal and external customers on all contractual matters.
- Ensures timely review, approval or negotiation and reconciliation of variations regarding all contracts.
- Advises management of contractual rights and obligations and provides interpretation of all terms and conditions.
- Researches, recommends and creates contract policies, procedures and contractual documents.
- Coordinates with legal counsel as needed to negotiate with vendors and customers; ensures signed contracts are communicated to all relevant parties to provide contract visibility and awareness.
- Assists in the development and maintenance of the contract database and recommends improvements.
- Works closely with external and internal resources to ensure contracts do not violate insurance policy requirements.
- Assist in the documentation of internal policies and procedures to mitigate internal risk.
- Regular, physical attendance on a predictable basis is essential to the performance of this job.
- Other duties and projects as assigned by Supervisor and/or Management.
