George Spencer Academy is seeking to appoint an outstanding Cover Supervisor to join our nurturing, supportive team of Academy staff. We are a World Class School with a national reputation for providing high quality education that transforms young people’s lives.
The primary purpose of the role would be to support and supervise students in whole-class groups and to provide an effective learning environment during short term teacher absences. George Spencer Academy has a policy of ensuring that excellent lesson plans and high-quality resources will be available along with support from a culture of high behaviour expectations, a visible Senior Leadership Team and caring Faculty staff. We would welcome applications from both experienced candidates and those who may be beginning their journey in education as the cover team are supported with bespoke training and CPD to enable them to continually develop and thrive. We have a proven track record of developing dynamic, inspirational teaching staff through our SCITT programme and expertise in coaching and mentoring.
OUR COMMITMENT - A QUEST FOR EXCELLENCE
We are one staff with a commitment to the quest for excellence. Our single aim “achieving excellence through innovation and individualised learning” drives everything we do. Our purpose is to develop students to their highest possible potential and to have them all learn effectively and achieve success whatever their ability or background.
We acknowledge and encourage both the rights and responsibilities of our pupils, their parents, our staff and Governors and the wider community. We seek a spirit which enables individuals to achieve personal success - we welcome the accountability this brings.
We want quality to count in every aspect of our School, in our care for children; in our relationships between people and the way we communicate with others; and in our use of resources, buildings and grounds. We believe that seeking quality involves continuous review and development, which leads to change. This is part of everyday life at George Spencer.
