We are seeking a highly skilled Data Analyst to join our Payments team at Multitude Bank. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of our payment activities, transaction screening and monitoring systems. You will evaluate the effectiveness of our payment activities, with a focus on writing and proposing changes to the rules within the respective systems to enhance compliance with Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Financial Crime (AFC) regulations. This role is critical in maintaining compliance and safeguarding our clients’ transactions.

Responsibilities:

  • Fully understand the operation of our transaction screening and monitoring systems;
  • Help developers build data flows between various payment system modules;
  • Write rules for these systems and propose changes or new rules to improve efficiency and effectiveness;
  • Monitor and analyse transaction data used to identify suspicious activities and ensure compliance with AML and AFC regulations;
  • Support business roles with reporting and insight delivery for payment products and initiatives;
  • Collaborate with the compliance team to ensure all regulatory requirements are met;
  • Develop and maintain documentation related to transaction monitoring processes and system rules;
  • Provide training and support to other team members on the use of transaction monitoring systems;
  • Stay informed about the latest trends and changes in AML and AFC regulations and adjust monitoring strategies accordingly;
  • Act as a liaison between the Bank and relevant regulatory bodies during audits and compliance reviews;
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the Bank’s payment services, ensuring all transaction monitoring aspects are covered.
