Description:

Studocu was founded on the principle that providing equal access to study materials can help reduce educational inequality. Our platform supports over 45 million students worldwide each month, making it simple to share and access notes. From day one, our product has demonstrated exceptional growth and strong product-market fit across multiple continents, positioning us as a leading player in the rapidly expanding EdTech industry. We received a $50 million Series B investment so we’re in rapid growth and scaling mode, and we’re looking for top talent to help us achieve our goals.
The team at Studocu is arranged around ten dynamic product teams — cross functional squads composed of talented individuals from Product, Tech, Design, Data, Marketing, and Operations. These teams work collaboratively to define and build the future of our platform, focusing on key areas of the business. We are currently seeking a passionate and skilled Data Analyst to support our Discovery and Content Supply teams, which are crucial to driving user engagement and managing the content side of our platform.
As a Data Analyst in this role, you’ll be part of the data team, but you will work closely with Product Managers and cross-functional team members to tackle some of the most challenging and exciting questions at Studocu. You’ll monitor the performance of our contributors, help understand the dynamics of the supply side of the platform, quantify and measure the discoverability of documents on our site,
and design, conduct, and evaluate complex A/B/n tests.
One of our biggest challenges is deciding where to focus because there are so many opportunities. That’s why we’re looking for someone who loves getting hands-on with data, is eager to learn, and enjoys finding simple solutions to complex problems. If you like the idea of working in a fast-paced environment where you can experiment, and grow, this role could be a great fit for you. You’ll have the chance to contribute right away and see the impact of your work on the future of Studocu.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting product teams: You will support specific product teams with their ad-hoc analysis requirements, AB-test design, implementation and analysis, as well as explorative research. You will be specifically aligned with the teams responsible for content discovery and content supply.
  • Supporting foundational teams: You will work with the data analytics/science/engineering functions to bridge the gap between technical and business opportunities. You’ll also provide incidental support to other foundational teams, like customer support or the people team
-

Exploratory research: You will be encouraged and expected to spend a portion of your time on exploratory research. We believe that to be truly data-driven, data analysis should be the force driving the product roadmap rather than the other way around. You will combine your technical expertise, domain knowledge, and product understanding to identify new or missed product or business opportunities, in close collaboration with our product managers to make sure they find their way into the product roadmap.

  • Team-player: You collaborate effectively with your team and across different functions;
  • Great story teller: You can explain technical problems clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. You’re also skilled at sharing insights in a way that everyone can understand;
  • Curious and resilient: You’re open to stepping out of your comfort zone to tackle a broad range of challenges;
  • Autonomous: You can work independently with the right amount of guidance;
  • 1-2 years of experience in data analysis (preferably in product analytics);
  • Proficient in SQL;
  • Experience with online product analytics tools (e.g., Mixpanel, Amplitude);
  • Experience with at least one scripting language would be an advantage (preferably Python);
  • Familiarity with dashboarding tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Metabase).
