Meet the Team: Purpose and Objectives:
The Delivery Executive provides effective project/program oversight for one or more strategic accounts. In this billable role, the DE works closely with the customer, the Services Account Executive and other partners to ensure the overall success of the implementation of SAP solutions and is a significant contributor to the overall success of the customer relationship. The DE is responsible for ensuring that effective Program Governance is established for each account and is the primary point person from delivery aligned to the customer executives throughout the services lifecycle, from sales support through implementation and post-go-live. In addition to delivery support, the DE is responsible for positioning additional SAP Software & Services in support of the success of the customer.
- Analyze and execute on strategic projects, building consensus among stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project tactics with corporate strategy and communicating project goals at a strategic level
- Manage overall services relationship between customer, partner and SAP during transformations
- Ensure that projects / programs are delivered on-time, within budget and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction
- Build credibility/trust with Strategic & Value Account customers in solution support solution implementation phase
- Provide mentorship by following a strong career framework that includes skills enhancement and career development planning
- Assist the SAP sales team in the closing of deals by defining the strategy and providing oversight
- Identify and develop business opportunities; creates long term value plans with customer to achieve customer business objectives and expanding SAP services on the account

The Delivery Executive is a senior leader and focuses on transformational program management, which requires the combination in project and program management and when is needed, subject matter and/or industry expertise (e.g. Financial Services, Telecom/Utilities, Retail, Public Sector, etc.). The ideal candidate will have had customer-facing experience, as well as exposure to compliance, strategy development.
What you will Do: Expectations & Tasks
- Build credibility / trust with assigned customers during the deal execution phase. Assists the SAP software sales and/or services teams in closing of deals by providing oversight on implementation planning & estimating and coordinating multiple SAP LOBs and partners as required.
- The Delivery Executive is responsible for ensuring that effective Program Governance is established for each account and is the primary point person from delivery aligned to the customer executives throughout the services lifecycle, from sales support through implementation and post-go-live. In addition to delivery support, the DE is responsible for positioning additional SAP Services in support of the success of the customer.
- Build the trust with customers in solution support and solution implementation phase, continually reinforce the value of SAP solutions and services by establishing proactive relationships that provide the foundation for future. This includes creating long term value roadmap and plans with customer to achieve customer business objectives.
- Work with Customer Stakeholders, Partners and SAP Management to effectively manage and lead large, complex and risk programs/projects to ensure successful completion and significant impact on customer business KPI. This includes analyzing and executing on strategic projects, building consensus among stakeholders, ensuring alignment of project tactics with corporate strategy and communicating project goals at a strategic level as well as actively identifying and developing business opportunities.
- During implementations, manage overall services relationship, including sponsor, steering committee and program office, between customer, partner and SAP to ensure that projects / programs are delivered on-time, within budget and with the highest levels of customer satisfaction through billable consulting. Manage expectations on the development of solid program plans, with milestones and clear deliverables (in IT and business terms), and furthermore, proper program governance is in place to enable quick execution on the plans, handling risks, issues and objections.
- In some cases (Very Large Enterprise Customers) the tasks might include the overall responsibility to globally manage all SAP delivery, starting with the development of long-term value realization plans that jointly define the portfolio of projects necessary to successfully support the transformation of the customer’s business.
- Be part of SAP’s global or regional strategic initiatives that deliver improvements in the organization’s professional capability to manage portfolios, programs, and projects. Support Program Management Practice development, methodology development, creation of intellectual capital, and perform coaching and mentoring. This includes effective development and deployment of project management policies, procedures, quality standards, and methodologies. Oversee and promote enterprise knowledge management.
What you will Bring: Professional Experience:
- Must have 10 or more years of demonstrated ability to lead and/or manage large, complex, high risk programs on time, on budget, and within quality criteria. This should include experience leading global template creation and rollouts, managing large number of subcontractors, managing prime contracts over 3.000 man days and/or 3 Million US$.
- Proven experience with supporting customers and partners (or as a partner) in the development and execution of long term value realization plans that includes the effective transformation of their organizational- and IT-landscapes. Have a solid understanding of SAP solution architecture framework and implementation design considerations.
- Demonstrated ability to scope, structure and implement complex, but feasible programs, projects and operations that maximize business benefits for customers. Including extensive involvement with development (standard/industry), SAP Premium services, Cloud solutions and Consulting in delivering enhancements, services, etc. for the program
- Experience with recovery of troubled multi-location projects/programs and their de-escalation
- Track record of achieving revenue and margin goals while managing multiple client projects of meaningful scope and duration
- Must have superior project financials business acumen (forecasting, allocated revenue, etc.)
- Proven ability to build trusted relationships at the client executive level
- Exceptional leadership, organizational and interpersonal skills; the ability to work well with people from different disciplines with varying degrees of technical experience; competence in clear concise and tactful communication with senior executive management, clients, peers and team members
- Transformation experience#
- Demonstrated experience in managing, aligning and working with various levels within a customer organization (project, business, executive) as well as different parts of global organizations in order to define transformation strategies, plans and then executing.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS/SKILLS & COMPETENCES
- Master’s degree, preferably in finance, commerce, engineering, information technologies, MBA or equivalent training and job experience
- PMP or PgMP certification and /or other industry and project management certifications. Expert level knowledge of SAP methodologies.
- Global cultural awareness and respect. Preferred to have hands-on management experience in a multi-national environment.
- Organizational savvyness: appropriately aggressive, yet cool and respectful, professional presence
- Ability to translate generalized business goals and objectives into concrete program strategy and tactical plans.
- Proactive attitude in managing stakeholder satisfaction to position and secure customer success.
