As a Deputy Chef Manager at Lidl, you’ll play a key part in supervising the successful running of our Warehouse cafeteria. From preparing delicious dishes to training and mentoring your colleagues, you’ll uphold our high standards of quality, presentation and dietary restrictions every day. You’ll also bring your own culinary flair to our kitchen, assisting the Chef Manager in developing seasonal menus and daily specials, while maintaining stock rotation to minimise waste and control costs.

What you’ll do

  • Be a mentor to your kitchen team, training them on cooking techniques, food safety and proper kitchen procedures
  • Oversee every aspect of food preparation from consistency to quality and timely delivery
  • Proactively make sure that food safety and proper kitchen procedures are followed in compliance with health regulations
  • Inspect and report faulty or damaged equipment to management
  • Confidently prepare and create dishes alongside the Chef Manager

What you’ll need

  • Some flexibility to travel and work across Great Britain
  • Strong communication skills to tackle even the trickiest conversations
