We take care of many well-respected Airlines, such as Emirates, Etihad, TUI, UPS and many more, by providing maintenance services in between flights. We are on a mission to become one of the leading Line Maintenance providers in Europe and Africa. Since April 2019 we are part of the Magnetic MRO group.
We are looking for a Deputy Station Manager to strengthen our Team in Cologne !

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Certificate/Diploma or equivalent in Aeronautical Engineering or related field.
  • Leadership experience in a maintenance or engineering environment.
  • Current EASA Part 66 Aircraft Maintenance License, ideally with type ratings on one or more of the following: B747-400, B747-8, B757, B767 is preferred, but not a must.
  • Solid knowledge of EASA Part 145 regulations, particularly in compliance and operational oversight.
  • Proof of current Continuation Training status would be a bonus.
  • Experience in maintenance management and oversight.
  • Proficiency in English (spoken, written, and read), German is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills for report writing and customer interaction.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to manage high-pressure situations.Knowledge of safety regulations, customer service standards, and specific operator procedures.

Responsibilities:

  • Support to Station Manager: Act as a key support to the Station Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring smooth and efficient functioning of the entire station with around 60 employees.
  • Leadership and Supervision: Provide leadership across all teams, including Mechanics, Engineers, and administrative staff, ensuring that all employees are aligned with operational goals and quality standards.
  • Operational Oversight: Coordinate station-wide activities, including scheduling, resource management, and performance monitoring, ensuring operational objectives are met.
  • Staff Management: Work closely with team leaders to ensure staff performance is optimized and that personnel issues (scheduling, training, performance management) are addressed in a timely manner.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all maintenance activities comply with EASA Part 145 regulations and other relevant safety and operational standards, minimizing risk and maintaining operational excellence.
  • Customer Relations: Serve as a secondary point of contact for customer queries and concerns, providing high-level technical or operational explanations as needed.
  • Problem Solving & Decision Making: Act as a key decision-maker in resolving operational issues, especially in the absence of the Station Manager. Quickly assess situations and provide solutions that align with company policies and customer expectations.
  • Project and Process Improvement: Collaborate with the Station Manager on projects to improve processes, increase efficiency, and implement best practices across the station.
  • Employee Development: Support the training and development of station staff, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge required to perform at their best and comply with safety standards.
  • Shift Supervision: Ensure that night operations are adequately staffed and that shift teams have the necessary support to maintain high standards during these times.
  • Health, Safety, and Compliance Management: Oversee and enforce adherence to safety directives and safe working practices throughout the station, minimizing workplace hazards and ensuring a safe work environment for all employees.
