Design Manager - Racecourse / Equestrian (MGA)

We are looking for a Design Manager - Racecourse / Equestrian to join our visionary team. This role will focus on leading the design and development of our racecourse and equestrian projects, integrating innovative concepts that enhance the guest experience and align with our brand values. The ideal candidate will be an experienced design leader with a passion for equestrian architecture and a proven track record in managing large-scale projects.

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Structural, Civil Engineering, Engineering Management or a related field.
• A minimum of 6-10 years of relevant design experience is a minimum essential
• Hospitality experience would be highly advantageous
• Mixed-use experience is essential
• Strong portfolio that demonstrates expertise in project design, ideally from concept through to handover
• Worked for a real estate developer is highly advantageous, or at least client-representative (a minimum essential)
• Proven experience managing complex projects from concept through to completion.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage effectively with diverse teams and stakeholders
• Proficiency in design software and tools.
• Strong leadership abilities, with a commitment to mentoring and developing junior team members.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a dynamic environment.

• Ensuring the design and development process for racecourse and equestrian projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.
• Collaborate with architects, landscape designers, and other specialists to create comprehensive design solutions that prioritize functionality and aesthetics.
• Review and approve design proposals and modifications throughout the project lifecycle.
• Conduct design presentations, workshops, and consultations with stakeholders to gather feedback and ensure alignment.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and sustainability practices within the project design.
• Monitor project design progress and provide updates to senior management and stakeholders.
• Stay current with industry trends, materials, and technologies related to equestrian facility design.
• Mentor and support junior designers and architects, fostering a culture of creativity and collaboration within the team.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, consultants, and other external stakeholders.
