DevOps Engineer (Hashicorp)

Scope and Responsibilities:

• Focused towards working with customers to ensure smooth delivery of projects as part of our professional services team
• Work in tandem with pre-sales/solution architects and project manager, to identify and implement the most optimal cloud-based, hybrid or on-premises solutions for customers
• Ensure infrastructure and application performance, uptime, and scalability while maintaining high services delivery standard though a robust architecture design and implementation
• Involved in discussion with solution architects, customers, and external vendors/partners to define cloud strategy and technical solutions, including scope and implementation plans
• Assist with researching, evaluating, and recommending cloud related technologies, software, hardware and services as part of the total solution
• Deliver cloud, virtualisation, and data storage related projects including architecture design, planning, installation, and configuration of cloud and on-premise infrastructure services
• Carrying out installation, configuration, monitoring, testing and management tasks associated within the cloud and on-premise infrastructure
• Drive automation of operational activities, health checks, capacity, and performance monitoring
• Troubleshoot and perform root cause analysis as well as implementing corrective/preventive actions when needed
• Responsible for day-to-day customer support and administration of cloud services as required if not involved in project implementations.
• Define and document best practices and operational procedures regarding solution deployment and infrastructure maintenance to ensure a smooth handover to customers or managed services team
• Perform periodic after-hours/weekend support when required
• Any other projects/duties as assigned by superior
• Develop and maintain Terraform configurations for multi-cloud environments, Integrate Terraform with CI/CD pipelines for automated infrastructure deployments.
• Set up and manage Terraform Enterprise environments
• Knowledge on deploying terraform vault.
• Proficiency in HashiCorp Vault, including Setting up and managing Vault cluster.
• Configuring authentication methods (e.g., LDAP, AWS IAM)

• Implementing secret engines and policiesIntegrating Vault with applications for dynamic secrets

Requirements :

• Technical Skills: Good experience in working with Hashicorp products such as TFE, vault and consul. Expertise in cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), infrastructure (networking, virtualization, security), and automation (Terraform, CI/CD). Strong monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities. Knowledge on deploying terraform vault would be a plus point.
• Project Management: Experienced in managing projects from E2E, with strong collaboration skills across teams and stakeholders.
• Communication and Customer Focus: Excellent customer engagement, with the ability to document procedures and provide technical guidance.
• Flexibility and Availability: Willingness to offer after-hours support and adaptability to changing technologies and industry trends.
• Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, with several years of relevant experience and certifications in cloud technologies.
• Additional Skills: Strong team collaboration and problem-solving abilities, with potential leadership or mentoring experience.
