TITLE: Diagnostics Engineer II (US Citizenship REQUIRED)
LOCATION: Onsite in Sterling Heights, MI 48312 or San Jose, CA or Minneapolis, MN (no relocation package)
RATE RANGE: $40/hr - $49/hr W2 (no health benefits while on contract)
DURATION: 6+ months

POSITION DESCRIPTION

We are hiring a Diagnostics Engineer II to assist with our combat vehicle programs for evaluating design changes and modifications for diagnostics implications and recommending improvements where feasible. In this role, you will interact closely with lead diagnostics engineers and design engineers.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Familiarity with current computer applications (Microsoft Office) and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines. - Ability to develop and maintain an effective network of relationships with teammates to solve technical problems.

SKILLS PREFERRED

Ability to develop concise technical presentations and brief to leadership and customers. - Ability to write reports that identify and resolve technical issues.

EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Entry level knowledge of fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures of engineering including electrical circuit design.
Experience with basic technical design and development of electrical and mechanical systems.

EXPERIENCE PREFERRED

Review and evaluation of electrical circuit diagrams.
Analyzing system and subsystem designs for diagnostics deficiencies and recommending potential corrective action.
Developing strategies, testing, and analysis methods for complex problems.
Performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronic and computer assemblies at a sub-system and system level using the most effective method.
Conducting diagnostics analyses to include diagnostics modeling, test logic, failure analysis, etc.
Familiarity with model-based analysis tools such as eXpress or Cameo.

EDUCATION REQUIRED

Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical, Aerospace, or Software Engineering) or equivalent experience as a substitution for education.

SKILLS REQUIRED

Bachelor’s degree Electrical Engineering
Technical design and development of electrical and mechanical systems (1 year).
Performing troubleshooting on electrical/electronic and computer assemblies (1 year).
Model-based analysis using tools such as eXpress or Cameo (1 year).
