THE POSITION
We are seeking two experienced Field and Workshop Diesel Mechanics to be based at our branch in Hallam, Victoria.
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on a variety of diesel-powered construction equipment including excavators, loaders, dozers, and backhoes. Initially based in the workshop this position will evolve into field service work.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and diagnostics on diesel-powered construction equipment
- Conduct engine overhauls, rebuilds, and replacements as needed
- Identify and diagnose issues using computerized diagnostic tools and other equipment
- Inspect, troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, and pneumatic systems
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations
- Communicate effectively with customers and provide exceptional customer service
- Maintain accurate and complete service records
Mon - Fri role offering solid a wage plus overtime at penalty rates.
