As a Digital Content Executive (Email Copywriter Specialist), you will be responsible for creating and executing data-driven email marketing campaigns that engage, convert, and retain customers. Your role will focus on but not limited to, developing high-quality, persuasive email content that aligns with brand voice and business objectives, driving audience engagement and enhancing overall brand presence. With a strong emphasis on revenue generation and key performance indicators (KPIs), you’ll be instrumental in crafting email strategies that maximize conversion rates and customer lifetime value, while providing support to the Digital Marketing team.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including design, product, and marketing to ensure consistency and effectiveness across all digital platforms. Your role will involve continuous testing and refining of email content, analyzing customer data, and implementing targeted campaigns based on audience segmentation. By leveraging insights from performance metrics, you will make data-led decisions to optimize email workflows, improve open rates, and boost engagement.
Working closely with the broader marketing team, you will also contribute to the development of content strategies that support the overall digital marketing objectives. Your expertise in email marketing, copywriting, and customer engagement will be critical in driving business growth and helping the company deliver best-in-class email experiences. This role requires a creative, results-driven individual who can balance both strategic and tactical elements of email marketing.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Copywriting: Create engaging, high-converting email copy that resonates with different audience segments and aligns with our brand voice. This includes promotional campaigns, newsletters, automated email journeys, and lifecycle messaging.
  • Content Strategy: Collaborate with the marketing team to develop content strategies that support campaign objectives, nurture leads, and drive customer engagement.
  • A/B Testing: Develop and execute A/B testing strategies to optimize email performance, including subject lines, CTAs, and copy variations.
  • Marketing Automation: Work closely with the CRM and digital teams to design, implement, and optimize email campaigns using Salesforce Marketing Cloud.
  • Journey Builder & Automation Studio: Leverage Marketing Cloud features, including Journey Builder and Automation Studio, to build automated email journeys that improve customer engagement and retention.
  • Performance Tracking: Analyze email performance metrics (open rates, click-through rates, conversions) and provide recommendations to improve future campaigns.
  • Compliance: Ensure all email communications comply with data privacy regulations (GDPR, CAN-SPAM, etc.).
  • Plan and deliver a content calendar aligned with seasonality and trends, including relevant keyword opportunities

Required Skills, Qualifications, and Experience:

  • Proven Experience: Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in copywriting with a focus on email marketing.
  • Salesforce Marketing Cloud (or similar platform) Experience: Hands-on experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud (including Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio) is essential.
  • Excellent Writing Skills: Strong ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive copy tailored to various audience segments.
  • Email Best Practices: In-depth understanding of email marketing best practices, including subject line optimization, deliverability, and personalization.
  • Analytics-Driven: Ability to interpret campaign performance metrics and adapt content strategies based on data.
  • Collaborative Team Player: Experience working within a cross-functional team (designers, CRM specialists, marketing managers) to deliver successful campaigns.
  • Attention to Detail: A sharp eye for detail, ensuring all content is accurate, well-structured, and error-free.
  • Excellent organisational skills and a track record of delivering work on time and to brief.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and manage multiple projects with competing deadlines.
  • Experience with email marketing tools and platforms, as well as knowledge of A/B testing and performance tracking.
  • Familiarity with audience segmentation and customer data analysis to create targeted and personalized campaigns.
  • Demonstrates a proactive approach to projects and strong self-motivation, taking initiative to identify and resolve challenges independently while driving continuous improvement.

ADVANTAGEOUS SKILLS:

  • Experience in other CRM or email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp, HubSpot) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS for email template design is beneficial but not required.
  • Knowledge of SEO and digital marketing strategies is a plus.
  • Willingness to be the innovator within the social media space, demonstrating a genuine expertise of the digital landscape
