About the role:
The Digital Marketing Manager, part of the Brand & Marketing team in Customer Markets, plays a crucial role in shaping AGL’s market identity and presence. This role involves enhancing AGL’s digital marketing presence, managing relationships with digital agencies, forecasting demand, setting quarterly roadmaps, and overseeing contract negotiations and media purchases. Additionally, the manager will monitor performance, advise campaign teams on digital options, and ensure digital solutions align with AGL’s broader commercial objectives, thereby improving visibility and customer outcomes for residential, SME, and C&I customers.

What you can expect in the role:

  • Develop and implement strategic digital plans aligned with AGL’s commercial objectives to enhance visibility with residential and SME customers.
  • Collaborate with external digital vendors and manage digital agencies, negotiating contracts, purchasing content, and setting quarterly roadmaps.
  • Lead and manage a dynamic team, providing direction, coaching, and fostering a high-performance environment.
  • Act as a conduit between internal campaign teams, media agencies, and external partners, supporting all steps of digital marketing campaigns.
  • Drive performance across digital channels, implement a test & learn framework, and utilize digital analytics to support data-driven strategies.
  • Manage the digital budget effectively and prepare updates for senior stakeholders on digital marketing vision and outcomes.

What we would like to see you bring:

  • Tertiary qualification in marketing, business administration, or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in digital marketing with successful brand building and campaign implementation, preferably within the services industry eg telco, superannuation, banking, energy; or within a media agency.
  • In-depth knowledge of digital buying strategies, optimizing budgets, negotiating rates, and maximizing ROI.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing campaigns across traditional and digital channels to reach target audiences and enhance brand visibility.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret performance data, familiarity with energy market dynamics and regulations, and proficiency in using tools for market research.
  • Exceptional communication skills, creativity in digital strategies, experience in managing budgets and reporting, and ability to work cross-functionally with other departments.
