Description:
We are searching for an experienced Manager of Financial Reporting to join our client’s team in the Restaurant industry, based in Dallas, Texas. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial reporting processes, ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of internal and external financial statements, and managing a team of accountants. Responsibilities:
- Manage the preparation of internal and external financial statements, ensuring they are sent accurately and promptly to lenders, investors, and auditors.
- Conduct technical research to ensure compliance with applicable accounting guidance and standards.
- Develop, recommend, and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance financial operations.
- Spearhead special projects and generate ad hoc reports as needed to support strategic decision-making.
- Collaborate with external auditors to assist with annual audit and financial statement preparation.
- Review and prepare audit schedules as needed.
- Ensure consistent accounting treatment among various business entities.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with generally accepted accounting principles, internal control procedures, and company policies.
- Manage the processes related to financial reporting including Internal/External reporting, cash flow statements, ASC 842, debt and interest calculations, and equity accounting.
- Handle other duties as assigned to support the overall function of the accounting department.
- Minimum of five years of experience in financial reporting within the restaurant and catering industry
- Proven expertise in preparing Cash Flow Statements
- Experience in Financial Reporting is required
- Proficiency in ASC 842 is mandatory
- Demonstrable skills in Debt Compliance
- Experience in Interest Calculations is essential
- Proficiency in Equity Accounting is a must
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field is preferred
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously
- Proficiency in relevant financial software and applications.
