ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking you, who are an experienced Director of Engineering, to lead and have direct staff responsibility of our diverse R&D teams, including DBAs, ensuring that all projects align with business values and are completed on time. The ideal candidate will focus on enhancing productivity, quality, recruiting new team members and coaching across various departments.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Department Management: Oversee and coordinate the activities of various R&D departments, including software development, quality assurance, security engineering, DevOps/infrastructure, and database teams.
• Staff Development: Conduct one-on-one meetings, provide coaching, take part in recruitment, and manage staff development to foster a high-performing team environment. Build and scale teams, both on-site and remote. This would include some traveling to other countries.
• Performance Monitoring: Implement metrics to monitor team performance, quality and productivity, identifying areas for improvement and help develop processes and best practice.
• Stakeholder Communication: Maintain open communication with stakeholders to ensure project alignment with business values.

SOME OF THE OTHER RESPONSIBILITIES THAT THIS ROLE WILL INCLUDE

• Collaboration with Product Managers: Oversee product managers running individual teams to ensure cohesive project execution and alignment with company goals.
• Productivity and Deadlines: Ensure teams meet productivity goals and project deadlines while aligning with business objectives.
