Position Summary
The Director of Scheduling for AFS is responsible for driving strategic scheduling initiatives, fostering collaboration across multiple sites, and delivering cost-effective solutions to support the organization’s overall success.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, coordinate, and implement a production scheduling system that supports great customer experience.
- Create, maintain, and update production schedules to support effective lead times and customer OTC.
- Review and identify any issues in the production process and suggest improvements.
- Coordinate with manufacturing and supply chain teams to ensure available inventory and plan production schedules accordingly.
- Oversee the entire logistics process for AFS.
- Responsible for managing and overseeing logistics in the performance of order placement and tracking, receiving, stocking, selecting, packing, and shipping.
- Establishes goals and maintains records to measure productivity, quality, safety, and attendance.
- Utilizes a variety of mechanized systems to provide balance accuracy, create efficiencies in report data, track costs and maintain budget analysis.
- Coordinate inventory management process across all AFS sites
- Enhance and deliver a robust cycle count program to maintain accurate inventory including root cause analysis and resolution.
- Maintain accurate inventory counts for multiple locations within the United States and Internationally
- Lead workshops that include our operations teams and any cross-functional stakeholders to determine controls gaps and/or continuous improvement opportunities.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to strategize for future business growth while monitoring demand and analyzing data to anticipate future supply and logistical needs.
Experience & Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field, MBA/Graduate Degree preferred.
- 10+ years of as a strategic scheduling with a large matrixed company environment.
- 5+ years of management experience and leading the development and management of scheduling strategies.
