The Ministry of Social Services has a leadership opportunity for a highly motivated and innovative professional to provide leadership and strategic direction for the Service Delivery program within the Child & Family Services Division.
The Director, Service Delivery, will lead the continued development and ongoing operation of the Service Delivery program to effectively leverage and support key child welfare strategies and outcomes across the division. This will include identifying work process changes, providing ongoing operational support and training and prioritizing future development work. The Director will be responsible for proactively setting long term strategic direction and decision making related to budgets, proposals, planning, analytics and reporting of the Service Delivery system. They will liaise with stakeholders to ensure effective communication and strategic planning. The Director will manage the Service Delivery team and will oversee the appropriate actions and workloads are managed across the Division.
To be successful in this position, you will possess proven leadership abilities combined with knowledge of the Service Delivery Program and the child welfare system. You are able to lead quality management, strategic planning and accountability initiatives. You have effective communication, project management and analytical skills which enable you to lead across a broad and diverse division. You exercise sound judgment in a continuously changing environment and have excellent interpersonal skills.
Typically, the successful candidate will have significant management and leadership experience and will have obtained the knowledge and abilities required for this position through a university degree in Social Work or Public Administration, and experience in the human services field, or an equivalent combination of experience and education.
