Description:

Purpose & Overall Relevance for the Organization:
The management of projects, typically (but not exclusively) involving the development and implementation of business processes to meet identified business needs. The role acquires and utilizes the necessary resources and skills, within agreed parameters of cost, timescales, and quality. The adoption and adaptation of project management methodologies based on the context of the project and selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches. Additionally, the Tech Project Manager is capable to manage technology focused projects and understands software solutions or system architecture (e.g., SAP).
Key Responsibilities:

License management

  • Responsible for management of Licenses with SAP. Conversion of existing on premise licenses in subscription based licenses like RISE, Cloud, BTP.
  • Responsible for management of co-innovation in between Adidas Trans4rm program and vendors like SAP. Especially BTP, Fashion, CAR, Planning solution, HR suite.
  • Co-responsibility for ERP roll out in different regions. Especially for Hypercare and design of Vendor contracts to cover hyper care phases of the program.
  • Responsible for elimination of shelf ware in license pool in for value realization of existing investments.

Demand management

  • Implements demand management analysis and planning activities.
  • Provides advice to help stakeholders adopt and adhere to the agreed demand management approach.
  • Performs what-if analyses and scenario planning; develops insights and proposals to improve business value.
  • Manages the process of integrating demand management with complementary strategic, operational and change management processes.
  • Reviews new business proposals; provides advice on demand issues and routes requests to the right place.
  • Works with business representatives to agree and implement short-term and medium-term modifications to demand.
  • Maintains a register of business requests, including the status of each request, reporting as required.

Program management

  • Plans, directs, and co-ordinates activities to manage and implement a program from contract /proposal initiation to final operational stage including the transition into “business-as-usual”; plans, schedules, monitors, and reports on activities related to the program.
  • Ensures that programs are managed to realize business benefits and that program management is informed by an awareness of current technical developments.

Project management

  • Takes full responsibility for the definition, documentation, and successful completion of complex projects (typically with significant business, political, or high-profile impact, and high-risk dependencies).
  • Adopts and adapts project management methods and tools, selecting appropriately from plan-driven/predictive approaches or more adaptive (iterative and agile) approaches.
  • Ensures that effective project control, change control, risk management and testing processes are maintained.
  • Monitors and controls resources, revenue and capital costs against the project budget and manages expectations of all project stakeholders.

Requirements definition and management

  • Plans and drives scoping, requirements definition and prioritization activities for large, complex initiatives.
  • Selects, adopts, and adapts appropriate requirements definition and management methods, tools and techniques selecting appropriately from predictive (plan-driven) approaches or adaptive (iterative/agile) approaches.
  • Obtains input from, and formal agreement to, requirements from a diverse range of stakeholders.
  • Negotiates with stakeholders to manage competing priorities and conflicts.
  • Establishes requirements baselines.
  • Ensures changes to requirements are investigated and managed.
  • Contributes to the development of organizational methods and standards.

Change implementation planning and management

  • Ensures that there is a business perspective on how any new technical capabilities will be integrated into the business, including planning around key business cycles, selecting appropriate customers for migration, etc.
  • Initiates the business implementation plan, including all the activities that the business needs to do to prepare for new technical components and technologies.
  • Ensures sites deliver site implementation plans that align with the overall plan.
  • Tracks and reports against these activities to ensure progress.
  • Defines and manages the activities to ensure achievement of the projected business benefits after delivery.
  • Outlines key business engagement messages that need to be communicated throughout the program/project.

Relationship management

People Management / Resource Management

  • Responsible for salary reviews, recruitment, selection, assessment, on-boarding and transitioning of resources.
  • Manages the effective implementation of resource planning, recruitment, selection, assessment, on-boarding and transitioning of resources.
  • Advises on standards, methods, and tools for resource management.
  • Ensures compliance with relevant statutory or external regulations and codes of good practice.
  • Contributes to the development of resource management policies, standards, and guidelines and to audits and assessment of resource management processes.
  • Ensures appropriate leadership skills are present at every level through creating a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are coached, trained, and provided with career opportunities through development
  • Allocates the different work to the respective employees considering experience, complexity, workload, and organizational efficiency
  • Continuously monitors and evaluates team workload and organizational efficiency with the support of IT systems, data and analysis and team feedback and makes appropriate changes to meet business needs.
  • Provides team members/direct reports with clear direction and targets that are aligned with business needs and GIT objectives

Requisite Education and Experience / Minimum Qualifications:

  • At least 10 years of experience in SAP license management with focus on structuring complex multiyear deals.
  • At least 5 years of experience in structuring deals based on SAP RISE contracts
  • Strong background in converting existing on premise deals in subscription deals
  • Strong background in managing co-innovations with Vendors like SAP, AWS, ServiceNow
  • 10+ Years of experience in managing Vendor-Client partnerships on Vendor side with solid knowledge of the process and proven value realization of co-innovations
  • At least 10 Years of experience in managing complex retail go-lives on vendor side. Strong understanding of support options and well established network within SAP ecosystem is a big plus
  • 10+ Years of experience in successful global roll outs implementations.
  • Several successful SAP S4H roll outs is a big plus.
  • 10 years of experience in team management including professional grade
