Responsibilities:
- Providing oversight of the day-to-day operation of electrical systems.
- Responding to emergent conditions on assigned systems and providing oversight and direction to ensure repairs are completed in compliance with applicable codes and standards and safely and efficiently.
- Preparing, reviewing, and approving internal work packages or scopes of work (SOW) for execution by external contractors.
- Providing both project management and portfolio management functions across assigned systems.
- Working closely with Suppliers, Procurement, and Construction Supervisors to ensure repairs and projects are delivered successfully and provide value to stakeholders.
- Providing oversight to the development of asset management plans and preventive maintenance plans by Chalk River Laboratories (CRL) on assigned systems. Ensuring plans are right-sized and provide value to stakeholders.
- Preparing Engineering Change Control (RREC) to support timely and efficient repairs and modifications to assigned systems.
- Continuously assess assigned electrical systems’ condition to ensure work is prioritized and delivering value to stakeholders.
- Providing oversight of system shutdowns to ensure essential work is prioritized, scheduled, and completed by Maintenance or external contractors.
- Interacting with customers, co-workers, and management to clearly communicate the status of the plant and requirements for its operation, maintenance, and strategic replacement.
- Providing oversight and assistance to other organizations when required.
- Performing the responsibility of Area Owner under CRL’s Integrated Work Control (IWC) for assigned systems.
- Other duties as assigned by your manager.
