Responsibilities:

As an Embedded Software Development Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • High quality embedded C code using finite state machines to deliver quality products.
  • Investigating problems, debugging across hardware and firmware.
  • Leveraging expertise to resolve technical issues.
  • Providing legacy product support, resolving issues, adding enhancements and verification through extensive testing.
  • Remaining current with new technologies, trends and methodologies which are shared amoung the team in weekly best practices meetings.
  • Bring creative ideas and continuous improvement to the development process.
  • Contributing to continuous integration & Hardware-in-the-loop testing while developing features.
  • Maintaining low power code by throughly testing new features impact on battery life

To be successful in this role you will:

  • Have 3 – 5 years of experience in embedded firmware development.
  • Have an Engineering Degree from an accredited University.
  • Have C programming experience and proven implementation experience.
  • Have an understanding of lowpower ARM processors and perpherals including I2C, SPI and DMA.
  • Need an understanding of electronic hardware including reading of schematics.
  • Write unit tests for features you are developing.
  • Be willing to use Python for hardware in the loop test code.
  • Collaborate with global engineering teams to promote consistency and maximize synergies across common platforms.
  • Have the ability to work independently on assigned tasks and with others to ensure the rapid and co-ordinated development of new products and features
