Our Technology team enjoy a challenge. They’re hungry to learn, and don’t hesitate to ask what, why, and how. They get to work with our unique, in-house database engine to create high-quality scalable code (just imagine, thousands of stores, millions of products, and billions of rows of raw data!) Their expertise positively impacts the environment and business processes around the world; alongside international colleagues, they drive change and develop solutions that become our pioneering end product. You will lead and support the development team(s) to help them achieve their full potential and deliver targeted product outcomes. Additionally, you will collaborate with Product Managers and Architects to break down long-term goals into actionable product outcomes and work with your team to refine these into specific work items for the short-term roadmap and team backlog. In more details you’ll

  • Ensure that the goals are clear and achievable for the team and teams nearby with whom collaboration is needed.
  • Communicate with all relevant stakeholders about the team’s plans and progress.

  • Drive decision making as well as creating plans and executing them, while remaining agile and being able to change direction when needed.
  • Plan and prioritize the team’s work with the Product manager and architects.
  • Encourage and facilitate collaboration between teams within a safe environment.
  • Take care of the well-being of team members and team spirit; Engineering Manager is part of the team!
  • Coach team members in personal development and help them find the ways to improve in the areas that matches with their career aspirations.
  • Work collaboratively and sometimes hands on in the team to find solutions for complex and interesting problems.
  • Pay attention to and remind about customer problems. We are building solutions for our customers that create measurable value through business-critical solution outputs and hence work with high quality.
  • Maintain a balanced focus on new feature development, technical debt reduction, and overall quality improvement
  • Look to continuously improve the working processes of the team with the team.
  • Win and celebrate achieved milestones together with the team!

We’re looking for:

  • Consider yourself a passionate software development leader!
  • Experience in leading software development teams to successful outcomes, either as a Product Owner, Engineering Manager / Team lead or Technical Principal / Lead, in a SaaS environment (public cloud, preferably on Azure platform)
