Responsibilities:
YOUR ROLE:
Reporting to the Executive Pre-Contracts Manager, we are looking for a Civil Estimating Manager to work across a range of civil construction infrastructure projects in order to deliver timely and accurate estimates.
The successful candidate will lead a team of Estimators, providing first class estimation and contract management capabilities, efficiently delivering estimates, and developing and maintaining strong working relationships to all stakeholders both internally and externally.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Oversee the Estimating Process from end-to-end
- Leading and Mentoring a small teams of Estimators
- Preparing and pricing estimates in their entirety and developing detailed project budgets
- Peer reviewing estimates completed by other estimator to ensure accurate pricing is prepared
- Peer reviewing and preparing preliminaries in conjunction with the Executive Pre-Contracts Manager
- Preparing risk and opportunity analysis prior to tendering
- Preparing tender assumptions, clarifications, and queries
- Prepare submission of progress, variations and claims documentation and price drawing changes
- Monthly reporting to Manager
- Assist with negotiating contracts and agreements
- Administer relevant correspondence as required in conjunction with Executive Pre-Contracts Manager
- Identify issues affecting compliance and immediately action to correct in conjunction with Executive Pre-Contracts Manager
- Clearly communicate all risks opportunities and tender conditions to senior management
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with the client, sub-contractors, suppliers, contractors and all other external bodies
- Efficiently performing all stages of an estimate including methodology, estimate organization, take-off, pricing, review, and closeout
- Implementing the Pre-contracts Gate process and preparing the relevant Gates 3/4/5.
