Boeing Defense, Space & Security is currently looking for a Senior Quality Manager in San Antonio, TX. In this role the candidate will manage and oversee inspection activities for Military/Commercial Derivatives (747, 757, 737 and 767 variants)
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS (REQUIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- 5+ years of experience working with cross-functional or cross-organizational teams to develop and implement plans, schedules, or solutions
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or MRO or inspection environment
- 3+ years of experience in Quality Management Systems (QMS)
- 3+ years of experience working with Defense contracts and/or customer requirements
- 2+ years of experience in Management
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS (DESIRED SKILLS/EXPERIENCE):
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher
- Currently holds an FAA Airframe and Power Plant License
- 5 or More years commercial/VIP Aircraft Experience
- Current Top Secret clearance or the ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance post start (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)
- Advanced Technical degree (computer science, engineering, math, etc ) preferred but not required
- Direct experience performing in quality engineering, manufacturing operations, project management, system engineering, or change management
- Solid working knowledge of quality tools (APQP, Early Quality Involvement, RCCA)
- Experience with surveillance and compliance audits
- Prior Quality management experience
- New airplane certification experience
- Direct engagement in strategy development
Relocation:
This position offers relocation based on candidate eligibility. Basic will be provided to internal selections.
Responsibilities:
- Manages employees and first-level managers that develop and maintain quality processes and systems in support of effective and efficient quality system
- Develops and administers directives, policies, processes, and procedures activities to assure program/contract, company, customer/government, regulatory requirements, international standards, and working agreements are deployed
- Develops and executes business plans, policies, procedures, and strategies to maintain and improve organizational and quality system performance
- Provides education and coaching on the Quality System
- Acquires and manages resources and leads process improvements
- Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, partners, and direct reports
- Manages, develops, and motivates employees and first-level managers
