As a Facilities Manager, you will play a crucial role in maintaining the high standards and operational excellence that The Crown Estate is known for, ensuring our properties continue to deliver value and exceptional experiences for our customers.
As a Facilities Manager at The Crown Estate, you’ll be at the forefront of delivering exceptional facilities services to customers within our managed properties. This role is a 12-month fixed-term contract (FTC), providing you with the opportunity to make a significant impact within a defined period. Your primary focus will be to ensure operations align with best practice standards, while understanding and contributing to our business objectives.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Commercial awareness and ability to identify business improvement opportunities.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and the ability to communicate business ideas effectively.
  • Previous service charge experience.
  • Previous experience in property management, corporate facilities management, or a similar field.
  • Advocate for change and supportive in driving operational business changes.
  • Qualifications in facilities management or a related field (e.g., IWFM).
  • Excellent organization and communication skills.
  • Results-driven with a focus on safety, quality, and cost management.

Responsibilities:

  • Take ownership of operational facilities management, adhering to KPIs and agreements.
  • Drive operational initiatives to enhance customer experience across your portfolio.
  • Act as the main point of contact for customers regarding day-to-day building operations.
  • Collaborate with surveyors to address customers’ matters affecting valuation and investment considerations.
  • Ensure financial management of properties, including budget preparation, variance reporting, and service charge reconciliation.
  • Procure supplies and services in accordance with established procedures, emphasizing quality and cost-effectiveness.
  • Maintain high-quality health and safety standards, adhering to risk management protocols.
  • Support environmental and sustainability initiatives, including water hygiene and asbestos monitoring.
  • Oversee reactive maintenance and service requirements in a timely manner.
  • Coordinate major works and planned maintenance activities.
  • Implement disaster planning procedures and organize emergency drills.
  • Maintain proper site records and correspondence.
  • Develop and maintain occupier handbooks for each site.
  • Monitor vacant property and ensure compliance with insurance policies.
  • Prepare properties for sale, handling due diligence enquiries from a facilities perspective.
